The Morris County Department of Human Services issued a reminder today that Dec. 15 is the deadline set by the state Department of Community Affairs on submitting applications for rental assistance, eviction protection and assistance in paying overdue utility bills.

The county has disbursed most of its funds, while only about a fifth of the funds issued nationwide have been disbursed.

The announcements come as New Jersey’s COVID-19 moratorium on residential evictions prepares to end in January.
