John Krickus

John Krickus is serving his third, three-year term on the board. He is a member of the Strategic Planning Advisory Committee, is liaison to the Morris County Improvement Authority, and as Director is liaison to the County College of Morris (CCM) and the Morris County Vocational School of Technology Boards of School Estimate. Morris County is in the process of significant investments in CCM including the recently opened Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering center and planned expansion for entrepreneurship and the culinary program; Vo-tech will be expanding by 500 students with a new building and training in 10 high growth fields including health care, finance, and logistics.

During his terms on the board, Commissioner Krickus served on the budget committee that reduced county property taxes and prioritized investing in county infrastructure, including the doubling of the mileage of county roads that were repaved annually.

Previously, he served on the Washington Township Committee for 12 years, including three years as Mayor.

While serving on the Washington Township Committee, he was active in the efforts to preserve 4,000 acres of farmland and some 14,000 acres of open space, which helped to maintain the rural and historic character of the Long Valley and Schooley’s Mountain sections of Washington Township.

Commissioner Krickus served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and is a graduate of Drew University with a BA in Economics and Political Science. He received his MBA from Lehigh University and was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New Jersey. He has worked as a product manager in data analytics for business information services.

Born and raised in Madison, he now lives with his wife Carolyn in Long Valley where they raised their two daughters Kelly and Casey.
