Body-Worn Camera Policy

What is the Body-Worn Camera Policy?

Body Worn Cameras serve a vital role for both the law enforcement community and society as a whole, and are a powerful deterrent to inappropriate and unlawful behavior by all those involved and present during an encounter between law enforcement and the public. Furthermore, Body Worn Camera recordings are mechanisms to enhance the transparency of law enforcement operations, often providing complete and objective evidence that benefits everyone.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office provides Axon Body Worn Cameras, depicted below, to detectives as required by internal policy and that of the New Jersey Attorney General.
