Morris County Assistant Prosecutor Commended for Response to Flooding

On September 23, 2021, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood, and Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker presented a commendation to Assistant Prosecutor Justin Tellone for his rescue and recovery efforts in Somerset County during Ida flooding.

On September 2, 2021, Morris County experienced extensive and hazardous flooding as a result of a weather system that was once Hurricane Ida. Assistant Prosecutor Tellone joined the courageous search efforts in dangerous conditions, including dealing with recovered fatalities.

Assistant Prosecutor Tellone is being commended for his commitment to duty and for his selfless efforts in protecting the citizens of New Jersey during a major public emergency.

Prosecutor Carroll said, “Such efforts demonstrate a dedication and commitment to your community and fellow citizens in their time of extreme need.”
