On Tuesday August 3, 2021, members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office joined Morris County residents for the annual National Night Out. Attendees were able to meet with members of law enforcement who serve in their respective communities for a night filled with entertainment, activities, and food.

Morris County Prosecutor’s Office members participated in National Night Out events at two locations –Sgt. Patrick LaGuerre, Detective Martyna Ruminska, and Detective Raquelin Perera attended activities outside of Butler Police Department, and Detective Joseph Ellis, Detective Keri Griffin, Detective Jermaine Marbley, and Victim Witness Advocate Michelle Leone attended Rockaway Borough Police Department’s activities at Firemen’s Field. MCPO members had tables set up and provided public safety information, as well as fun giveaways for kids.

This year, close to 190 communities in New Jersey were scheduled to take part in National Night Out.

MCPO Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker said, “After over a year of virtual meetings, it’s refreshing to be able to interact with Morris County residents face-to-face once again. Such engagement is important to fostering the connection between law enforcement and the communities they serve. I want to thank the members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, local law enforcement, and Morris County neighbors for joining us on National Night Out.”
