Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Recognizes National Police Week '21

Published on May 13, 2021

During National Police Week, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker recognize the law enforcement officers from Morris County or serving in Morris County who have died in the line of duty. National Police Week is recognized this year from May 9 until May 15, 2021.

First created by presidential proclamation in 1962, National Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day, May 15, honors law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice serving their states, counties and communities.

Thirty law enforcement officers are among the 43 names of police officers, firefighters and rescue personnel memorialized on the 200 Club of Morris County monument located at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy.

Acting Prosecutor Carroll paid tribute to the officers: “It is fitting that we never forget those who have died in the service of our citizens, especially now when law enforcement has been so closely scrutinized.  Our law enforcement personnel go to work every day, never knowing when they will be called upon to serve and protect at the risk of their own lives, as well as impacting the future of their own families.  The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, and on behalf of the County’s police departments, salute and remember those who have fallen.  God Bless all and we shall never forget.”

We remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice serving our community:
