The Boonton Township Police Department had been investigating a string of burglaries which occurred between May 25 and August 3, 2020. The ensuing investigation, which was led by the Boonton Township Police Department Detective Bureau, revealed that the break-ins involved similar patterns and a high value of proceeds had been taken throughout the course of the burglaries.

During the overnight hours on August 3rd, officers from the Boonton Township Police Department were investigating yet another burglary which matched the pattern of several of the prior break-ins. Boonton Township Police requested assistance from the Morris County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, and shortly thereafter, Detective Adamsky and his partner, K-9 Tim, arrived on scene. Police used K-9 Tim to conduct an extensive search of the area, which ultimately led police to a location away from the crime scene. Thanks to the successful track by K-9 Tim, along with various other investigative means, a suspect was ultimately developed.

Only two weeks earlier, K-9 Tim had assisted Boonton Township Police with getting a burglary suspect inside a vacant home to surrender peacefully.

When speaking of the case, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon stated, I'm very pleased that Detective Marc Adamsky and his Dutch Shepherd K-9 partner Tim were able to help peacefully resolve a tough investigation, and only two weeks after their assistance led to the surrender of a suspect in another Boonton Township case.

Sheriff Gannon continued: The Morris County Sheriff's Office K-9 Section is exceptional and is here to provide services to all 39 municipalities in the county.

On the evening of August 3, 2020, the Boonton Township Police Department executed a search warrant at the suspect's current residence in Boonton Township. As a result, investigators recovered proceeds from multiple burglaries at the residence.
