Primary Election

June 4, 2024

April 10: Deadline to change party affiliation for the June 4, 2024 Primary Election.
April 20: Commencement of mailing of Mail-in ballots for the Primary Election.
May 14: Last day to register to vote for the Primary Election.
May 21: On or before this date, applications for appointment of Challengers for Primary Election shall be filed with the County Board of Elections.
May 22: Mailing of Sample Ballots.
May 28: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) by mail for the Primary Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)
May 29 - June 2: Early voting period for early In-Person Voting.
June 3 - by 3:00 pm: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) in-person for the Primary Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)
June 4: Primary Election Day.

Polls open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In-person Mail-in ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections or deposited in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m.
Mail-in ballots sent by United States Postal Service must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, June 4th, and received by Monday, June 10th.
