The County of Morris is seeking a Qualified Purchase Agent (QPA)
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management of the Purchasing Division, inclusive of all purchasing functions and staff.
- County procurement of all goods and services on a large scale.
- Working with all County departments and Constitutional Offices to insure compliance with Purchasing processes and laws.
- Oversee procurement for the Morris County Insurance Fund and Morris County Improvement Authority
The requirements for this position are: Possession of a Qualified Purchasing Agent Certification (QPA) issued by the Division of Local Government Services , Department of Community Affairs preferred. Thorough knowledge of purchasing practices and the laws (N.J.S.A. 40A:11) relating to public purchasing necessary . Five years of experience as a QPA. Bachelor’s Degree, however, work experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree may substitute additional experience on a year-to-year basis
