The Office on Aging, Disabilities, and Community Programming is accepting applications for Senior Citizen Program Aide for their Nutrition Program. This program offers home delivered meals and congregate mid-day meals to Morris County seniors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Under direction performs a variety of tasks to assist the Morris County Nutrition Program serving congregate meals, and delivering home delivered meals to county residents 60 and over. Serves as a substitute driver for the Nutrition Program, when necessary. • Utilizes a county vehicle to transport Home Delivered Meals and other items to participants • Packaging hot meals for home deliveries. • Preparing center for congregate clients. • Serving of meals in dining area to congregate. • Cleaning responsibilities of kitchen utensils and assist in kitchen preparations and clean up on a daily basis. • Supplies stored orderly and inventory stocked • Supply site coverage for the Site Manager when needed • Ability to interpret rules and regulations and apply them to specific situations. • Ability to maintain essential records and files. • Checks, cleans, and performs minor servicing of vehicles • Assume other duties as assigned by management.
Appointee must possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey, with a positive driving record • Ability to relate to program participants and to deal efficiently with their needs and problems. • Follow instructions and provide necessary assistance to those in need. • Utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency. • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position.
