The Rotary Club of Morristown is working with seven partner restaurants in Morristown to provide 24,000 meals to those in need over the next three months, thanks to a grant from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's new "Sustain and Serve Program."

"Operation Hunger 3.0" buys set-priced meals from local restaurants for distribution to Homeless Solutions, Table of Hope, Nourish NJ, the Morristown and Morris County Housing Authority seniors.

There is a lot of effort and coordination that goes into a program of this scale,” according to Nick Walsh, Operation Hunger program manager. The club spearheaded a similar effort last spring with the same seven restaurants, seeking to stem the rise of food insecurity in Morris County.
