On Monday, January 19, 2026, several members of the Morris County Human Relations Commission attended the 56th Commemoration of the Life and Legacy of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. As usual it was an inspiring event with presentations by current and former MLK Scholarship recipients and greetings and blessings by local clergy, along with several musical interludes. The keynote speaker was Assemblywoman Aura K. Dunn, who encouraged us to keep moving forward and fight for justice. Other speakers included event sponsors and members of the MLK Observance Committee. Once again, the committee is pleased to take part in this important annual event.
