Are you a senior citizen and need help with insurance, food, or transportation? These services, offered by Morris County, may be able to help:

Apply for Medicaid

Health insurance for those over age 65, disabled, or children and adults under age 65 who meet certain qualifications.

Apply for SNAP (Food Stamps)

Experiencing financial hardship? Looking for a nutritious diet for your family? Apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Care Management

Morris County provides Care Management to elderly, disabled and frail individuals deemed at-risk of premature institutionalization.

Dial-a-Ride

Municipal Dial-a-rides provide transportation for local seniors.

Morris County participates in the Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program. This statewide program provides low-income seniors with QR codes, up to $50 in value, to use towards the purchase of fresh fruit and vegetables at local farmers’ markets in Morris County.

Home Delivered Meals

Home delivered meals for Morris County residents who are homebound or otherwise not able to physically shop, cook, or feed themselves.

Local centers where seniors can socialize and enjoy a meal!

Morris County Shuttle Service

Ride this free shuttle to get to various county offices.

Prescription Assistance

Get one-time prescription assistance.

Project Lifesaver

Support and assistance to Morris County residents who are primary caregivers for an individual suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder as well as families of children afflicted with Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries or cognitive impairments.

Sign up for the Morris Area Paratransit System (MAPS)

MAPS is a curb-to-curb shared ride transportation service available to Morris County residents. This service is for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and veterans. We also provide transportation to the general public who live in rural areas of the county.

We provide information, referrals and direct client assistance for older adults, persons with disabilities, veterans and caregivers. Technical assistance and public speakers are available for local organizations.
