Morris County Surrogate Heather Darling was honored to be sworn in as a State Surrogates Alternate Representative to the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) for the 2025 term. The ceremony took place during NJAC’s Annual Reorganization Meeting on January 24, 2025, in the Senate Chambers of the State House in Trenton. The event was followed by a luncheon at the historic Masonic Temple.

Surrogate Darling congratulates Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson on being sworn in as NJAC’s 84th President, along with all the newly sworn-in NJAC officers and representatives. She looks forward to working alongside them throughout the 2025 term to advance initiatives that strengthen county government and enhance services for New Jersey residents.

NJAC serves as a non-partisan organization representing county governments across New Jersey, advocating for legislation, regulations, and policies that enhance county operations and improve services for residents. As a member of NJAC’s leadership, Surrogate Darling will contribute to initiatives that strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of county government, particularly in the areas of probate court administration, guardianships, and estate matters.
