Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Surrogate Darling and the Morris County Surrogate's Office joins the global community in honoring the memory of the six million Jewish men, women, and children who were murdered during the Holocaust, as well as the millions of others who suffered under Nazi persecution.
We reflect on the enduring lessons of this dark chapter in history and reaffirm our commitment to justice, human rights, and the fight against hatred and bigotry in all forms. As we carry out our mission to serve the people of Morris County with compassion and fairness, we are reminded of the importance of ensuring dignity, equity, and respect for all.
Let us use this day to honor the victims and survivors by continuing to educate ourselves and future generations about the Holocaust, so that the words "never again" truly resonate.
