Last week, Morris County Surrogate Heather J. Darling joined community members at Dover’s 41st Annual Senior Picnic, which featured a spirited country theme. The event once again drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, with seniors enjoying music, food, and camaraderie in celebration of Dover’s strong community spirit.
Surrogate Darling expressed appreciation to Dover Mayor Jim Dodd for the invitation and warm welcome, noting the value of bringing county resources directly to residents in informal and approachable community settings.
Representatives from the Morris County Surrogate’s Office were also present to support residents. Staff walked among attendees and answered questions in both English and Spanish, providing helpful information about probate matters, wills, and estate planning. Their bilingual outreach ensured that a wide range of residents could access important resources and better understand the services available through the Surrogate’s Office.
