Morris County Surrogate Heather J. Darling was honored to be invited to speak at Cedar Crest by the Cedar Crest Republicans, where she addressed a packed room on key topics including estate planning, the probate process, and recent advancements within the Surrogate’s Office. With a focus on empowering residents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions for themselves and their families, Surrogate Darling emphasized the critical importance of preparing for the future through proper documentation and planning.
Attendees engaged in a lively Q&A session, asking thoughtful questions about the role of the Surrogate’s Office and how residents can navigate the legal aspects of wills, estates, and guardianships. Surrogate Darling also highlighted recent technological improvements that have streamlined services and made the office more accessible to the public.
