Park Commission

The Park Commission oversees one of the finest park systems in New Jersey. Provides over 20,000 acres of specialized park areas and facilities for recreational, leisure time and educational needs of 3 million annual visitors. Includes ice skating arena, outdoor education centers, arboretums, golf courses, a marina, swimming-boating areas, trails (including one for the blind), paracourse fitness trails, camping facilities, a living farm, an operating mill, riding stable and concerts. Offers nature study and horticultural education classes in its education center.

Meets every 4th Monday (except May, August, September and December) at 6:00 p.m.

Parks Commission Meeting Schedule and Information

During the 2025 year, the regular meetings of the Morris County Park Commission shall be held at 6:00 p.m. prevailing time on the fourth Monday of each month, except in the months of May, August, September and December. Workshop meetings are convened quarterly at 9:30 a.m. on the second Tuesday of the month (January, April, July and October).

All said, regular and special meetings at which formal action may be taken will take place at the Morris County Park Commission Headquarters, 300 Mendham Road, Morris Township, New Jersey, unless otherwise advertised.
