Anti-Defamation League Leaders Meet with County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey

On October 9, 2018 the County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey's (CPANJ) met with Deputy Regional Director Melanie Robbins and Associate Regional Director Alexander Rosemberg of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) New Jersey/New York Region. New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal also participated in the meeting. A presentation was provided to all of New Jersey's county prosecutors who were in attendance at the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

The presentation included an update of the ADL's 2017 audit of anti-Semitic incidents in the New Jersey and New York region, as well as the ADL's efforts to ensure that all law enforcement officials are properly trained in handling bias incidents and bias crimes. Deputy Regional Director Robbins and Associate Regional Director Rosemberg also discussed their 50 States Against Hate initiative, which aims to create stronger hate crime laws, and ultimately reduce bias-motivated crimes across the United States which may be perpetrated against any religious, racial, or ethnic group.
