Denville Township Bank Robbery

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Denville Township Police Chief Christopher Wagner announce an active investigation into a bank robbery that occurred this morning in Denville Township, New Jersey.
At approximately 10:09 a.m., a report of a bank robbery was made involving an incident that occurred at the TD Bank, located at 298 East Main Street in Denville.
Initial reports indicated that a male entered the bank branch and demanded money. The male can be further described as an Asian male, approximately six (6) feet tall, who was seen wearing a black knit cap, black jacket, black gloves, yellow scarf and sunglasses.
The male is believed to have fled from the scene in a black, four-door sedan with tinted windows and chrome trim around the windows. The vehicle fled in the direction of Route 53 South towards Morris Plains, New Jersey.
Numerous law enforcement agencies have responded and are currently investigating, including the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, the Denville Township Police Department, the Morris County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section, the New Jersey State Police, and the FBI.
