MCPO Lieutenant Graduates NJSACOP Command and Leadership Academy

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood, and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally congratulate Lieutenant James Bruno of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office on successfully completing and graduating from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) Command and Leadership Academy. The graduation ceremony was held on February 5, 2024, in East Brunswick.

The New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Program curriculum is a challenging 13-week course, developed through the United States Military Academy at West Point in collaboration with highly-experienced law enforcement practitioners and specialists. The graduating class included first responders from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.

Lieutenant Bruno is currently assigned to the Special Operations Division which is comprised of diversified units that concentrate on proactive law enforcement.

MCPO Captain Steven Brylinski is also a graduate of the program. Chief of Detectives McNally is also alumni of the Command and Leadership course.  

Prosecutor Carroll said, “We would like to congratulate Lieutenant Bruno on his accomplishment. We believe that he will utilize this training to help lead and mentor the personnel within the Special Operations Division and the MCPO staff throughout his career.”
