MCPO Presents on Preventing Bias and Hate for Diversity Coalition

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Sgt. Patrick LaGuerre, Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Samantha DeNegri were the special guest speakers for a virtual presentation on preventing bias, hate incidents, and hate crimes with the Diversity Coalition of Morris County on March 29, 2023.

The virtual event was attended by close to 50 community members, hosted by Diversity Coalition of Morris County Dr. Beverly Tignor, Founder of CEO, and Franz Owens, Chief Technical Officer.

The Diversity Coalition of Morris County is a non-political coalition of faith-based community organizations and individuals who live, work, and serve in the greater Morris County area, who share the common belief that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, and understanding.

The purpose of the program was for attendees to learn to identify, confront, and eliminate barriers leading to prejudice, misinformation, and bias. Following the formal presentation, attendees had a chance to ask questions of the Prosecutor’s Office members.
