On August 24, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Assistant Prosecutor Laura Magnone and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Coordinator Alexis Rachel attended the Drew University freshmen orientation program to educate the approximately 400 incoming freshmen students about sexual and relationship violence.

Assistant Prosecutor Magnone and SART Coordinator Rachel participated in two presentations for the group of students, each running for one hour. The goals of the program were to educate the students about Drew University's policies on sexual and relationship violence, the laws in New Jersey pertaining to sexual and relationship violence, reporting options for incidents both on and off campus, and general background information about sexual and relationship violence. Title IX, the education amendment focused on sex and gender equity, was also thoroughly covered in the presentation. Following the speaking portion of the event, a question and answer session was held for the students in attendance.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said, It is crucial to educate the incoming freshmen students about the dangers of sexual and relationship violence as they embark on the next step of their lives. I would like to thank Drew University for holding such an important educational program and for inviting the Morris County Prosecutor's Office to join. Assistant Prosecutor Magnone and SART Coordinator Rachel have conducted numerous educational presentations throughout Morris County and will continue to do so in the future.
