United States Military Veterans Serving at the MCPO Honored

In honor of Veterans Day, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office began the annual tradition of recognizing U.S. Military Veterans who serve in the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. The program was the idea of then Chief of Staff Daniel Pfeiffer, himself an Army Veteran.

On November 10, 2021, Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and his command staff again celebrated Veterans Day with members of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office who served in the United States Armed Forces before pursuing a career with the Prosecutor’s Office. Twenty (20) members have been recognized as U.S. Veterans. This year, Detective Thomas McEnroe was presented with a certificate of recognition for his service.

Appointed to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office in March 2021, McEnroe was also recognized as being the newest MCPO member to be added to the Veteran’s Honor Roll. The following information reflects his service accomplishments.

April 1987– 1991: United States Marine Corps Reserves, Infantry Platoon, Squad Leader/MOS: 0311. Active Duty in Support of Operation Desert Storm

-     National Defense Service Medal, Expert Rifle Badge

-     Perfect Score “300” USMC Physical Fitness Test

 

Prosecutor Carroll said, “We are honored at the MCPO to thank all these dedicated veterans in New Jersey law enforcement, and especially those serving in our Prosecutor’s Office and convey our most sincere gratitude and appreciation for their sacrifices and services. In American history, there are those who have always been the first responders to help others in time of crisis or danger and these military veterans demonstrate that quality of self-sacrifice and patriotism that makes our country strong. Morris County has been blessed to have many military veterans serve in local and county law enforcement. We are all grateful for their patriotic efforts to have protected and served to keep our country safe, and for their continuing dedication as officers to keep our Morris County citizens safe.
