Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally joined the New Jersey Attorney General, County Prosecutors and other members of law enforcement for an interfaith summit on March 16, 2023. Held in Trenton and hosted by the Office of Attorney General, the meeting was intended to discuss local security practices and public safety, in particular, for the pending celebration of Ramadan, which begins this year on March 22 and ends April 22.

Attorney General Platkin introduced Yolanda Melville as the new Director of Community Engagement and several faith leaders discussed how to learn and understand different religious customs, holidays and events.  The meeting was informative, and the Morris County representatives confirmed their commitment to inter-faith communication and support for all our religious institutions and facilities.  Prosecutor Carroll thanked Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin for convening this important and useful meeting.
