Published on April 03, 2019

On April 1, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor's Office Special Enforcement Unit Captain Harrison Dillard was honored by the New Jersey County Narcotics Commanders Association with the Barry Graves Award for Excellence in Undercover Investigations. The award was presented to Captain Dillard prior to the 2019 Undercover Narcotics Investigation Training (UNIT). Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Acting Chief of Investigations Chris Kimker were in attendance for the presentation.

The Barry Graves Award for Excellence in Undercover Investigations is named for former Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Detective Sergeant Barry Graves, who dedicated over thirty years to the Monmouth County Narcotics Strike Force and served as Director of Tactical Operations for the narcotics investigation training course, Top Gun. The recipient of the Barry Graves Award is nominated by his or her peers in the undercover narcotics investigation field.

Prosecutor Knapp said, We are very proud of Captain Dillard for receiving such an honor from his peers. The success of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Special Enforcement Unit's undercover operations is due largely in part to Captain Dillard's leadership and expertise. The memory of Detective Sergeant Barry Graves lives on through the continued success of members of law enforcement throughout New Jersey who work in an undercover capacity.
