Morris County Prosecutor's Office Continues its Support of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Morristown's Annual Back to School Block Party

On September 1, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp, along with Detective Supervisor Spence Osaigbovo and Detective Paul Papamarkos, represented the Morris County Prosecutor's Office at the Bethel A.M.E. Church of Morristown's annual Back to School Block Party. Reverend Sidney Williams, of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Morristown, and his team hold this event as a way to bring the community together with children returning for the new school year.

The afternoon consisted of a barbeque, a talent show, live music, and a backpack giveaway for children returning to school. The backpacks were distributed full of school supplies for those kids needing new materials. The generous contributions help to ensure that the attending children go back to school well equipped and prepared for a successful school year.

Members of the Prosecutor's Office Community Affairs Unit greeted the attendees, and provided informational pamphlets and souvenirs for the children attending the event. Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said, The Morris County Prosecutor's Office was honored again to be a part of this important annual tradition. Reverend Williams, and the members of the Bethel A.M.E. Church of Morristown, continue to demonstrate their inspirational dedication to our youth and to the betterment of our community.
