Published on August 07, 2014

Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Denville Police Chief Christopher Wagner jointly announced that an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances of two adult persons found deceased in a residence on Arden Road in the township. Members of the Denville Police Department were dispatched to the residence earlier this morning on the report of a person found deceased in the single-family home. Further investigation by responding officers revealed another deceased person in the residence. The persons were described as an adult male and an adult female, although the identities have not been released pending positive identification and notification to the next of kin.

Prosecutor Knapp and Chief Wagner indicated that although the investigation is in the preliminary stages, there is no indication indicating that there is any threat to the community.

In addition to the Major Crimes Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and the Denville Police Department, the Criminal Investigations Section of the Morris County Sheriff's Office is also assisting in the investigation.
