On August 1, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Detective Supervisor Patrick LaGuerre of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office conducted a workshop with local campers and counselors at the Spring Street Community Development Corp's S.O.A.R (Student Outreach and Academic Reinforcement) Bridge summer camp. The workshop, coordinated by Executive Director Teresa Williams, covered bullying, cyber bullying, and bias crimes in preparation for the coming school year. The children learned about who to contact if they are bullied or witness bullying, the consequences that can stem from bullying, and safe internet practices.
Prosecutor Knapp said, Today's presentation was a great opportunity to share important information with the youth in our community. The children were wonderful participants in the workshop and we wish them the best in the coming school year. Detective Supervisor Patrick LaGuerre did an outstanding presentation and we thank Director Williams for inviting us to meet the campers and counselors.
