Morris County Prosecutor's Office Participates in Diversity Day on Morristown Green
Published on July 15, 2019
On July 14, 2019, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and members of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office participated in the second annual Diversity Day in Morristown. Diversity Day was held on the Morristown Green and various religious groups and community leaders attended. The afternoon included an Interfaith Service on the Green, live music, local performers, food, and door prizes. The Interfaith Service was held from 11:00am and all of the following festivities began at 12:00pm.
Members of the Morristown community showed up in full force for Diversity Day, as the Green was packed with attendees all morning. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office had a table set up with helpful literature for adults, such as brochures on identity theft and internet safety for children, as well as gifts for the children in attendance. Hundreds of community members stopped by the table throughout the afternoon to ask questions and discuss what the Morris County Prosecutor's Office does for the community.
Prosecutor Knapp said, Diversity Day is an important event for the Morris County community and I was happy to see how well attended it was today. The Interfaith Service was a touching reminder that all religions can come together to create important partnerships in our community. The Morris County Prosecutor's Office will continue to participate in community outreach programs such as Diversity Day to further the strong relationships our office has with the Morris County community.
