MCPO Announces Upcoming DWI Checkpoint in Jefferson Township

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker, and Jefferson Township Chief of Police Paul Castimore announce the implementation of a joint Driving While Intoxicated checkpoint in Jefferson Township, New Jersey the weekend of August 27 - August 29. 

Law enforcement personnel from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Jefferson Township Police Department will be conducting the checkpoint.      

DWI checkpoints are funded by grants received by the Prosecutor’s Office from the State Division of Highway Traffic Safety to establish checkpoints in cooperation with municipal police departments throughout Morris County.

The Prosecutor’s Office has set up sobriety checks in the past two years in Chester, Jefferson Township, Parsippany, and Morris Plains.

Further DWI checkpoint dates and locations will be announced in the future.
