Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Joins Law Day 2022 Celebration

Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood, and Sheriff James M. Gannon attended Law Day 2022 at the Morris County Courthouse. The event was sponsored by the Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris/Sussex Vicinage, the Office of the Ombudsman, and the Vicinage Advisory Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement in collaboration with the Morris County Bar Association and Morris County Bar Foundation.

The national theme for this year’s Law Day is “Toward a More Perfect Union: The Constitution in Times of Change.” Law Day is a national event established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 as “a day of national dedication to the principles of government under law.”

The program included a welcome from New Jersey Supreme Court Associate Justice Anne M. Patterson, remarks by Morris County Bar Association President Angela M. Scafuri, Esq., recognition of the NJ State Mock Trial Champions from West Morris Mendham High School from Steven J. Loewenthal, Esq. on behalf of the Morris County Bar Foundation and Commissioner Douglas R. Cabana and closing remarks by Morris/Sussex Vicinage Assignment Judge Stuart A. Minkowitz.
