Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Welcomes New Detective

Morris County First Assistant Prosecutor Maggie Calderwood and Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker announce the hiring of Jeffrey Taylor as Detective for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Monday, August 2, 2021, First Assistant Prosecutor Calderwood and Chief of Detectives Kimker held a ceremony for Detective Taylor, who will be assigned to the Special Operations Division.

Previously assigned to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office as a task force officer, Detective Taylor started his law enforcement career as a corrections officer with the Middlesex County Department of Corrections. During his career, he has served in the Morris County Park Police, holding the ranks of patrolman, detective, detective sergeant and sergeant.

Detective Taylor is a faculty member of the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Top Gun Narcotics Investigation School, has been assigned to the Morris County Rapid Deployment Team since 2005, and holds a B.A. from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Chief Kimker said, “I am proud to have a detective with so much experience join our office.”
