Ongoing Investigation in Rockaway Township

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp and Chief Martin McParland of the Rockaway Township Police Department jointly announce that an investigation is currently underway involving an incident which occurred on Green Pond Road, Rockaway Township, N.J.

On Friday, October 23, 2015 at approximately 6:00 am, members of the Rockaway Township Police Department were dispatched to the area near Green Pond Road, Rockaway Township on a report of an incident. One injured male was found who appeared to have been struck by an unknown vehicle. He was transported to St. Clare's Dover Campus hospital.

This investigation is in its preliminary stages and no further details will be released at this time. There is no indication that there is any threat to the community.
