CPR/Bloodborne Pathogens

Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR: The goal of the Basic Life Support (BLS) is to train participants to save lives of victims of cardiac arrest through high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The American Heart Association designed the BLS course to prepare healthcare professionals to perform CPR in both in-and out-of-hospital settings. This course trains participants to promptly recognize cardiac arrest, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), as part of a team and individually.

Blood Borne Pathogens/Right to Know: Learn the nature of blood borne infections, how we can protect ourselves and our patients from contracting them, and what are the most dangerous infections. This course satisfies the OSHA annual requirement for all hospital staff, squad members, police and fire.
