ARREST, SEARCH AND SEIZURE

This is an overview of the latest laws, court decisions and policing strategies affecting the area of Arrest, Search and Seizure.

SEARCH WARRANT PREP

This program focuses on important aspects of the search warrant process. Topics that will be addressed are the preparation of the affidavit and search warrant, scope and intensity of the search, preparation and execution of the warrant and common search warrant problems.

COMMUNICATIONS DATA WARRANT PREP

This program will address issues relating to the steps needed to obtain all forms of electronic records, including telephone toll billing records, mobile telephone records, cell site information and e-mail.

EFFECTIVE TOOLS FOR A SUCCESSFUL PROSECUTION

This section will address issues that frequently arise in the course of an investigation that should be considered to build a successful prosecution. Other topics that will be addressed are Criminal Justice Reform, charging issues and drafting affidavits of probable cause.

The course is recommended as a yearly refresher for all law enforcement personnel.

Class size is 50.
