MCSO Promotes Andrew Ledet to Sergeant

Andrew Ledet grew up in Rockaway Township and is a former multi-sport athlete whose early experiences in athletics instilled in him a strong appreciation for teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and service to others. He attended Morris Hills High School, where he competed in both football and lacrosse. Andrew earned All-Conference honors in lacrosse and distinguished himself in football with All-Conference, All-County, and All-State recognition.

 

Andrew continued his athletic career at Wagner College in Staten Island, New York, where he played Division I football. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Physics.

 

Following college, Andrew worked in several fields before beginning his career in technology as a computer programmer with UnitedHealth Group in 2015. In 2017, he transitioned to a career in law enforcement, joining the Morris County Park Police. He graduated from the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy in November 2017 as a member of the 89th Basic Police Course.

 

Andrew served as a Patrolman with the Morris County Park Police until its merger with the Morris County Sheriff’s Office in January 2022. Following the merger, he continued serving in the Patrol Division. In January 2025, Andrew was promoted to Corporal.

 

Throughout his law enforcement career, Andrew has pursued specialized training and professional development. He is ATV certified, a licensed drone pilot, a member of the Crisis Intervention Team, and a Field Training Officer. His diverse background in athletics, mathematics, technology, and law enforcement reflects a longstanding commitment to leadership, service, and continued professional growth.
