On January 7, 2026, the County Commissioners approved changes to the Trail Construction Grant Program – Rules and Regulations concerning Eligible & Non-Eligible Trail Amenities in sections 7.12 & 7.13
7.12.1.2 – Restrictions placed on Fences
7.12.1.5 – Restriction on Benches
7.12.1.8 – Landscaping was changed to “Soil Stabilization” with a restriction
7.12.1.12 – Redefined restriction on Parking Areas
7.12.1.13 – Restriction on Garbage Receptacles
7.12.1.14 – Restriction on Recycling Receptacles
7.12.1.16 – Restriction on Interpretive Signs
7.12.1.17 – Restriction on Kiosk Maximum allowance
7.13.1.1 – Boat Launches was added to the Non-Eligible List
7.13.1.9 – Gardens was added to the Non-Eligible List
7.13.1.22 – The use of Sod was added to the Non-Eligible List
