- March 2: Commencement of Mailing of Mail-in Ballots for Special General Election

March 31: On or before this date, applications for appointment of Challengers for Special General Election shall be filed with the County Board of Elections.

April 1: Mailing of Sample Ballots.

April 6 - April 14: Early voting period for early In-Person Voting.

April 9: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) by mail for the Special General Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)

April 15 - by 3:00 pm: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) in-person for the Special General Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)

April 16: Special General Election Day.
- Polls open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- In-person Mail-in ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections or deposited in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m.
- Mail-in ballots sent by United States Postal Service must be postmarked on or before Thursday, April 16th, and received by Wednesday, April 22nd. Mail-in ballots sent by United States Postal Service without a postmark must be received at the Board of Elections office by Saturday, April 18th.
