April 13: Last day to change your party affiliation for the Primary Election.
April 23: Commencement of mailing of Mail-in ballots for the Primary Election.
May 17: Last day to register to vote for the Primary Election. Board of Elections office open until 9 p.m.
Last day to file a change of residence.
May 24: On or before this date, applications for appointment of Challengers for Primary Election shall be filed with the County Board of Elections.
May 31: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) for the Primary Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)
June 1: Mailing of Sample Ballots.
June 3 - 5: Early voting period for early In-Person Voting.
- June 7: Primary Election Day.
- Polls open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- In-person Mail-in ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections or deposited in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m.
- Mail-in ballots sent by United States Postal Service must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, June 7th, and received by Monday, June 13th.
