- December 12: Change of Party Affiliation Deadline
- December 22: Commencement of Mailing of Mail-in Ballots for Special Primary Election

January 20: On or before this date, applications for appointment of Challengers for Special Primary Election shall be filed with the County Board of Elections.

January 21: Mailing of Sample Ballots.

January 29 - February 3: Early voting period for early In-Person Voting.

January 29: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) by mail for the Special Primary Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)

February 4 - by 3:00 pm: Last day to apply for a Mail-in Ballot application (formerly civilian absentee ballot) in-person for the Special Primary Election. (This is for those who have moved within Morris County, or did not receive a Mail-in ballot.)

February 5: Special Primary Election Day.
- January 15: Last day to register to vote for the Special Primary Election.
- Polls open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- In-person Mail-in ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections or deposited in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m.
- Mail-in ballots sent by United States Postal Service must be postmarked on or before Thursday, February 5th, and received by Wednesday, February 11th. Mail-in ballots sent by United States Postal Service without a postmark must be received at the Board of Elections office by Saturday, February 7th.
