Overseas and Military Voting

Am I eligible to vote as an Overseas/Military Voter?

In order to vote in U.S. elections you must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States on the date of the election you wish to vote in.
  • Be 18 years old on the day of the election.

In order to vote using a federal ballot you must:

  • Be an active duty member of the U.S. Uniformed Services, Merchant Marine or Activated National Guard.
  • A family member (spouse or dependent).
  • A U.S. citizen residing outside of the U.S.

*Important Notes for Emailing Applications*

  • Use of the email submission procedure requires not only a computer, but also a printer and scanner. The application must be submitted as a PDF.
  • If you are not already registered to vote, you must send the original hard copy of the application if it has been submitted by fax or email.
  • Do not submit a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) unless you have already submitted the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) prior to the election deadline and only if you have yet to receive a ballot in time to meet the State's deadlines.
  • Do not return your voted ballot to the above e-mail address. It will not be counted if improperly returned. Instructions on how to submit it will be included when your requested ballot is sent to you.
