Temporary Closure of Morris County Courthouse on Thursday, May 21, 2026, for Planned Security Drill
The Morris County Courthouse and the Morris County Administration and Records buildings, 56 Washington Street, and 10 Court Street, Morristown, NJ will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC from 8:30 a.m. until 11a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, for a planned security drill.
On that day, between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., anyone seeking a domestic violence temporary restraining order should make application at a local police department. Additionally, all applications for emergent orders to show cause filed on that day will be reviewed after 11:30 a.m. Except for applications for domestic violence temporary restraining orders, if a party requires review of an emergent Superior Court matter on that day prior to 11:30a.m., they should call (862) 397-5700 for further instructions.
