Brief Description of Job and Division/Department
The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority is seeking a full-time candidate for the position of Clerk 1. The successful candidates should have strong computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel), organization, and can demonstrate strong customer service abilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ability to organize assigned clerical work and develop effective work methods
- Ability to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions
- Responsible for answering phone calls from residents and municipal employees regarding recycling pickup
- Responsible for learning and utilizing GPS/ camera monitoring system.
- Data input for disposal scale tickets
Qualifications
The successful candidates should have strong computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel) and have the ability to learn other operating systems. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position. Ability to effectively communicate with residents and municipal employees over the phone and email. Minimum of a high school diploma.
