Alert: Westbound Sussex Ave. closed between Inamere Rd. & Lake Rd.

Due to a retaining wall installation along Sussex Avenue, the westbound lane of Sussex Avenue between Inamere Road and Lake Road will be closed on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM until July 21, 2023.

Westbound traffic on Sussex Avenue approaching the intersection of Inamere Road will be warned to follow detour signs. At this intersection, the westbound traffic is directed to make a right turn onto Inamere Road. At the next intersection, traffic is then directed to make a left turn onto Lake Road. Traffic will continue on Lake Road for approximately half a mile and stop at the intersection with Ketch Road. At this stop sign, traffic is then directed to continue left on Lake Road which leads back to Sussex Avenue. The total detour is approximately one (1) mile. Eastbound traffic will not be impacted.

The retaining wall installation is part of the ongoing sidewalk improvement along Sussex Avenue managed by the Township of Morris. The contractor performing the work is Nava Construction, based out of North Brunswick.
