CCM: Seventh Straight Win for CCM's Art and Literary Magazine

The Promethean Selected Again for Graphic Design USA Award

The Promethean, the award-winning County College of Morris student art and literary publication, has once again been selected as a winner by Graphic Design USA in its 2018 American Inhouse Design Awards contest in competition against professional designers.

The American Inhouse Design Award is the largest showcase for original work created by inhouse designers€” an individual or group that creates and produces material as a part of an organization, not as a separate entity. These designers usually produce materials such as publications, invitations, self-promotional items, signage and websites.

More than 5,000 items were submitted for consideration this year, but only 750 entries were selected for recognition by the panel of judges. This award does not include a student category for judging, and, therefore, The Promethean was judged against work produced by professional designers.

Since the award was initiated in 2010, The Promethean has been selected for this category seven times.

I am so pleased and humbled that this professional organization continues to confirm The Promethean's excellence, said Professor Kathy McNeil, adviser for publication. It showcases the best that CCM has to offer, and the continued support from so many people on campus is a big part of the publication's success.

The 2017-18 CCM student staff was made up of graphic design students Dhrupa Patel of Parsippany, Matthew Wotasek of Hackettstown, Emily Ambrosi of Denville, and Margaret Koenig of Mount Olive. Learn more about CCM's art and design program here.

Located on 222 acres of rolling terrain in Randolph, County College of Morris has been meeting the educational and training needs of residents and businesses in Morris County for 50 years.
