CCM and Rider University Sign Transfer Agreement -- Guarantees Move to Four Year University

SECOND TRANSFER AGREEMENT SIGNED BY CCM IN PAST TWO WEEKS

Officials of County College of Morris and Rider University this week signed a Guaranteed Transfer Agreement establishing a partnership to provide CCM students with additional opportunities to earn both an associate and bachelor's degree.

Along with the overarching Guaranteed Transfer Agreement, 23 program-to-program agreements also were signed at an event on Thursday (Oct. 19). Some of the programs included in the agreement are business administration, biology, computer science, music and psychology.

The agreement facilitates the transfer of college credits for students who earn either an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science so they can be credited toward a bachelor's degree at Rider, provided all academic requirements are met. As per the agreement, CCM students will be eligible to take one free course at Rider University prior to enrolling.

(PNG, 6KB)The signing ceremony was held in the Sherman H. Masten Learning Resource Center on CCM's Randolph campus. Present at the ceremony were Rider University President Gregory G. Dell'Omo, CCM President Anthony J. Iacono, Rider University Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs DonnaJean A. Fredeen, and Dwight L. Smith, vice president, Academic Affairs, CCM.

We are very happy to establish this partnership with Rider University to provide students with a seamless transfer of their credits so they can continue their higher education goals, noted Iacono. Rider is a wonderful university and we are confident that our transfer students are well prepared to continue experiencing success there.

The agreements are designed for the CCM student to provide a clear road map of the courses to take that best transfer to Rider University, said Dell'Omo.

This was the second transfer agreement signed by CCM officials in the past two weeks. Last week, Centenary University President David P. Haney and County College of Morris President Anthony J. Iacono signed a Path to Transfer Program agreement that guarantees a seamless transition for qualifying CCM graduates at Centenary University.
