Personal Care Services to Resume on Monday (June 22)
Gov. Phil Murphy's Executive Order No. 154 allows personal care service businesses to reopen on Monday (June 22), with first appointments allowed as early as 6 a.m.(JPG, 143KB)
But all businesses must fully comply with state COVID-19 health standards, such as wearing face coverings, issues by the state Division of Consumer Affairs and Department of Health (see below).
Under the Governor's Executive Order, the following businesses can reopen:
To resume business, hair and beauty shops must adhere to comprehensive health and safety standards issued in an Administrative Order issued by the state Division of Consumer Affairs. The state Department of Health's Executive Directive covers tattoo parlors, tanning salons, and spas/massage parlors.

Cosmetology schools or other places that provide instruction and training for personal care services shall remain closed at this time.
