Contracts Awarded But Work delayed Until Spring on Two Randolph Roads
Morris County has nearly completed its aggressive 2019 road paving effort with some 31 miles of roads getting new surfaces and other improvements as part of the Board of Freeholders emphasis on maintaining a top-quality road infrastructure in the county.

All but two of the county's targeted road projects have been done this year, with the exception being portions of Quaker Church Road and Randolph Avenue in Randolph. It is too late in the paving season to tackle those two roads, but contracts have been awarded and work will start when weather permits in the spring, with an April 15, 2020, deadline for work to be done.
County contractors, meanwhile, continue to work on a 2.1-mile segment of East Mill Road in Washington Township to Route 206 in Chester. A contractor is completing bridge repair and maintenance work, with milling and paving to be completed when the bridge work is done.
Two other late season projects, North Passaic Avenue in Chatham Borough and Florham Park, and a small segment of Littleton Road in Parsippany both have been completed.
Regarding county bridge projects, work is set to start this week on the replacement of the Chestnut Terrace bridge in Rockaway Township. Bids have been received for the Mill Road Bridge project in Morris Township, East Blackwell Street bridge project in Dover, and Waterloo Road bridge in Netcong. There are no start dates yet for those three projects.
