Grand Harvest Wine Festival Salutes Autumn at Fosterfields

The fall season will uncork in true style when 14 of New Jersey's finest wineries join together once again for the Grand Harvest Wine Festival taking place Saturday and Sunday October 7 & 8, from 12 noon €“ 5pm each day. Produced by GPS, Inc., this weekend of great New Jersey wine, gourmet food trucks, fabulous live music, hand-made artisan crafts and kids activities is the fitting way to celebrate the harvest!

We are so excited and proud to be hosting the fall's most celebrated wine event, the Grand Harvest Wine Festival, as a chance to fully celebrate this wonderful time of the year! stated Kathy Bullock, Vice President of GPS, Inc. There truly is no better place to enjoy a crisp autumn afternoon with New Jersey wine than on the beautiful grounds of Fosterfields Living Historical Farm. Once you spend a day at this event you will know why so many mark their calendars every year for this fabulous seasonal festival. This year's Grand Harvest Wine Festival will feature 14 New Jersey wineries offering up samples and sales of more than 200 wines made right here in the Garden State. Wineries always embrace this event as a time to salute autumn' and unveil some of their newest offerings for the fall season. Fosterfields Living Historical Farm is such a beautiful place, Bullock continued, that it lends itself perfectly to the ambiance of a wine festival. I can not wait to again see everyone filling the back field surrounded by autumn leaves, listening to fabulous bands, enjoying great wine, browsing our artisan crafters and just relaxing with family & friends. We are certain this event will continue to embody the perfect wine festival atmosphere, said Bullock. Bullock was also quick to add that the festival is open to everyone, young & old alike. Full wine glass and grapesThe Grand Harvest Wine Festival is proud to feature some of New Jersey's finest wineries: Auburn Road Vineyards, Cava Winery, Chestnut Run Farms, Coda Rossa Winery, DiMatteo Vineyards, Four Sisters Winery, Plagido's Winery, Sharrott Winery, Southwind Vineyard, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Winery, Villa Milagro Vineyards, Villari Vineyards and Wagonhouse Winery. This prestigious group of wineries brings with them numerous award winning wines (including double gold, gold, silver and bronze winners) from the International Finger Lakes Competition, The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and the Indy International Wine Competition just to name a few. No wine festival would be complete without delectable eats and treats for sale. The Grand Harvest Wine Festival is proud to feature culinary cuisine from some of the best gourmet food trucks around. Joining the festivities both days will be: Sunny Raes Kitchen offering wonderful farm to table combinations, Pure & Simple Flat Breads serving up made to order wood fired pizza, The Guac Spot who take guacamole to a whole new level of goodness, Worldly Q cooking up unique exotic meat entrees, The Flying Pie Guy who's Aussie inspired cooking brings a touch of Down Under and Waffle de Lys with their famous sweet treat waffle & ice cream combinations. The Grand Harvest Wine Festival is known for featuring great live bands€¦this year is no exception. If it is dancin' and good time music you want, look no further than Mario & The Slyders who will be taking the stage on Saturday, October 7. Lighting up stages from NYC to the Jersey Shore this band of rock & roll junkies will bring their blues infused, fun loving music to the festival on Saturday for what is sure to be an awesome time! On Sunday, October 8 the festival welcomes for the first time Ned Ryerson & The Groundhogs. This band is one big time of great fun! Playing all the songs you know and love, they will have you up on your feet and singing along all day long! Come find out why they were voted the very best band on the Jersey Shore in 2016. While at the festival stop by our wonderful artisan crafters whose hand made items take on a decidedly wine flair! Among the many vendors you will find for sale gourmet spices & sauces, jewelry, pottery, gourmet pasta, wine glass charms, gourmet cheeses, wine glass holders, wine stoppers and beautiful hand carved furniture€¦. just to name a few. As always, the Grand Harvest Wine has great things for the little ones too. Make sure to take the kids over for a chance do a make & take craft or have a go in the bounce house. The Kids Zone will also have sand art, hair wrapping, face painting, and temporary tattoos all for a nominal fee. Also, do not let anyone miss the fun lawn games that will be set up

Tickets for the Grand Harvest Wine Festival can be purchased in advance at the discount rate of $20 and at the gate for $25 (cash only admission at the gate). Sampling admission to the Grand Harvest Wine Festival includes wine tasting of more than 200 New Jersey wines and a complimentary wine glass. Attendees will be able to not only sample wine but also purchase wines by the bottle or case. Non-samplers who are 21 and older are just $5 at the gate. All those under 21 are free.
